An independent guide to how service firms get paid
Accipiam is an educational publication that examines the payment workflows service businesses rely on, from invoices and payment links to ACH, cards, and recurring billing. We started it to give consulting and advisory firms a neutral reference they could read before choosing a payment setup.
How we research
Workflow first, fees second
Each analysis starts with the way money moves through a firm: how an invoice is sent, how clients choose to pay, how follow-up happens, and what occurs when a payment fails. We map those steps before comparing providers, so the trade-offs reflect daily operations rather than headline rates.
Our editorial work is kept separate from provider marketing. Where we describe a product, we explain what it does and where it fits, and we flag the limits we find. Readers should be able to tell an observation from a recommendation.

Accipiam is an educational publication, not a payment processor
We do not process payments, and we do not provide merchant accounts directly. Any provider we discuss is described for its workflow fit, and any affiliate relationship is disclosed in full.
